Contemplative Leaders in Action (CLA) is an Ignatian spirituality and leadership program for people in their 20’s & 30’s.

The world needs Ignatian leaders — contemplatives in action discerning God’s movements, responding out of love, and living as people with and for others. Ignatian leaders are hopeful, joyful, and free to be their authentic selves. This kind of leadership flows from a deep spiritual life and inspired sense of purpose. CLA is a collaboration among Jesuits, women’s religious communities, and lay people, all committed to forming an Ignatian community in which young adults can deepen their faith and grow as leaders.

CLA 2023-2025  has 10 cohorts with in-person opportunities in Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, DC, Detroit, Denver, New York City, Philadelphia and Seattle. With participants in nearly  20 U.S. states and in countries across 3 continents, CLA launched its inaugural virtual cohort in 2021. In collaboration with a number of new partners, CLA is excited to welcome its first cohort in Denver, CO. CLA is also offering a new hybrid option, combining the in-person and virtual experience for applicants in North Carolina
